Abstract

Cloud computing has significantly transformed workplace operations by offering greater reliability, accessibility, and collaboration. As one of the fastest-adopted technologies across industries, cloud computing eliminates the limitations of local storage by allowing real-time access to files, streamlined collaboration, and improved data management. This study explores how cloud computing impacts employee productivity and operational efficiency within management consultancy services in Taguig City, highlighting its benefits, challenges, and areas for improvement. A quantitative research design was utilized, with structured survey questionnaires distributed to employees working in management consultancy firms. The study employed purposive sampling to target individuals directly engaged in cloud-based workflows. Statistical tools were used to analyze the relationship between cloud computing usage and two key variables: employee productivity and operational efficiency. The findings indicated that cloud computing contributed to enhanced workflow processes, automation of repetitive tasks, and improved document management, all of which supported increased productivity. However, limitations were observed in terms of integration issues and insufficient training. While a weak positive correlation was found between cloud computing and employee productivity, the relationship was not statistically significant. The limited adoption of advanced tools and lack of strategic optimization were identified as possible reasons for this outcome. Respondents recommended greater focus on automation, cloud-based project management platforms, structured data handling, and regular training initiatives to fully leverage cloud computing’s potential. This study emphasizes the role of cloud computing in improving productivity and operational efficiency within management consultancy services in Taguig City. Although the impact on productivity was statistically modest, cloud solutions were recognized for their potential in streamlining operations, reducing workload redundancy, and supporting time-sensitive tasks. The results suggest that cloud computing should be viewed not as a standalone solution but as a strategic tool that requires effective implementation, employee adaptability, and continuous system integration. Businesses are encouraged to invest in cloud infrastructure, staff development, and workflow optimization to maximize the benefits of digital transformation.
