Abstract

This study was conducted to enhance and develop the hand-to-hand combat or martial arts skills of law enforcement officers at Police Station 6 in Barangay Batasan Hills. Some situations do not require the use of firearms, and officers must be prepared to protect themselves and others using non-lethal methods. Well-trained officers in martial arts can respond more efficiently to various incidents, including controlling crowds and handling crimes that do not involve firearms. The study also addresses the safety of police officers deployed during rallies, where protesters may engage in physical confrontations. The aim is to equip officers with the skills to defend themselves and prevent physical harm from occurring during such events. This study details the research design, respondents, sampling technique, instrument construction and validation, administration and retrieval of instruments, and statistical treatment of data. This chapter presents tables, data analysis, and interpretation of the information gathered. It includes the respondents’ profiles, survey questions, and the statistical methods used in the study. This chapter summarizes the findings, draws conclusions from the results, and provides recommendations based on the study’s outcomes. It presents a comprehensive summary and addresses the research questions stated in Chapter 1.
