Abstract

Alcohol drinking among college students is a widely acknowledged issue, and various
research has examined how it affects academic performance. This study set out to investigate
the connection between college students' academic performance and alcohol usage.

As stated by the research study, drinking alcohol and college students' academic success
seem to be at odds with one another. Drinking alcohol can impair cognitive skills, including
focus, memory, health, and processing speed, which can further harm academic
performance.

This study emphasizes the necessity of outreach and intervention initiatives that address the
detrimental impacts of alcohol use on college students' academic performance. Colleges and
universities can assist students in achieving their academic goals while maintaining their
health and well-being by encouraging appropriate drinking behaviors and offering support for
those who struggle with alcohol use.
