Issues and Concerns of the Residents Living Within the Vicinity of the New Quezon City Jail in Bagong Silangan

Abstract

This study focused on the issues and concerns of the residents living within the vicinity of the
new Quezon City ail in Bagong Silangan. A descriptive type of research was utilized as a
design in conducting this study with the participation of 50 randomly selected respondents
from the population of Bagong Silangan, Parkwoods Violago Home Subdivision., Quezon
City. by using a purposive sampling technique.

Results showed after completing the study that the respondents believed that the conduct of
safety and security measures has a significant contribution to the issues and concerns of the
residents, which uplifts the public confidence and trust of the people through continuous
observation of community visibility, patrol, and community policing. The ability to control and
maintain tranquillity in a community was the product of employing the practice of safety and
security.
