The Department of Public Safety and Traffic Management (DPSTM) maintains the order of the
traffic flow and public orders and laws within Caloocan City. The team aims to ensure the
peace and order of the traffic, including pedestrian and vehicular. The researchers aim to
identify the possible difficulties that the Department of Public Safety and Traffic Management
(DPSTM) faces in the implementation of traffic rules and regulations along Zabarte Road,
Caloocan City. There are lots of problems that people may encounter on the road. Traffic
causes numerous problems on top of the normal tangled vehicles, especially during work days
and rush hours.
The survey research was conducted to find out the difficulties encountered by the department
of public safety and traffic management officers in enforcing traffic rules and regulations along
Zabarte road, Caloocan city. The population of the study consists of 3 groups those are law
enforcers, Drivers, and commuters. A total of 30 respondents were selected for the study. The
instrument we used for gathering data was a survey questionnaire. Based on the analysis,
most of the respondents agreed with improving compliance with service plans. They
encountered major problems that officers encountered. This is a punitive and persuasive
method in order to effect safe traffic movement. The recommendation was made that law
enforcers must enforce the rules and regulations without doing unlawful acts. Commuters will
know the basic traffic rules and regulations. Then drivers should know road safety to avoid
accidents in the area. The research is able to see the real problem encountered in the
situation of the respondents.
