Abstract

The researchers conducted this research because they need a product that is effective and affordable in terms of skin caring. The researchers started studying skincare because this product contains six ingredients. The product is also affordable for customer and effective. Quantitative research was used as the research design for the study. Purposive sampling was used to gather respondents in assessing the level of acceptability of Vermover Cream. Using the instrument of the study, that is, questionnaire, the researchers surveyed the respondents to determine whether the proposed project is acceptable in terms of safety, effectiveness, odor, expiration, and packaging. The results of the study in terms of safety, effectiveness, odor, expiration, and packaging were acceptable as assessed by Chemistry teachers and Science experts. This result indicated a significant difference between the assessments of the two groups of respondents in terms of the cited variables. Chemistry teachers obtained an overall weighted mean of 3.17, which was interpreted as acceptable with the variance of 0.1245. Meanwhile, the Science experts obtained an overall weighted mean of 2.53, which was interpreted as acceptable with a variance of 0.0221. The two groups of respondents had a t-computed of 3.76 a degree of freedom of 8 with the value of 1.860. The t-computed value was higher than the t-critical value. Hence, the assessments of the two groups of respondents are rejected. The subsequent discussions forwarded by the two groups of respondents are as follows: use strong fragrance, water, and palm oil instead of faint fragrance to be used on the product for a smell of sulfur; refer to different fungal infections and ingredients that are applicable to the skin; and pay more attention on the chemical content for a higher quality product.
