Abstract

At present, children can easily catch diseases such as dengue, fever, cough, asthma, and rashes. Researchers decided to build a medical clinic for children to have a doctor monitor the child’s condition immediately. Having a close children’s clinic is advantageous to parents because they can easily consult a physician when their child gets sick. The clinic is for children only because their health is more sensitive than that of adults. Thus, children can be contagious with serious diseases when they are taken to the clinic with adults. Quantitative research was used as the research design for the study. Purposive sampling was utilized to gather information from the respondents. Using a questionnaire, the researchers conducted a survey to determine whether the proposed project is acceptable in terms of concept, structural design, construction materials, and presentation. The results of the study in terms of concept, structural design, construction materials, and presentation are highly acceptable as assessed by 5th-year Civil Engineering students and 4th-year Architecture students from the Technological Institute of the Philippines. This result indicated no significant difference between the assessments of the two groups of respondents in terms of the cited variables. 5th-year Civil Engineering students obtained an overall weighted mean of 4.32, which was interpreted as highly acceptable with the z-score of 0.60. Meanwhile,4th-year Architecture students obtained an overall weighted mean of 3.82, which was interpreted as highly acceptable with a z-score of 0.60; both have a standard deviation of 0.0275, a degree of freedom of 43 with a value of 0.22663, and the z-score was larger than the p-value. As a result, the assessments of the two groups of respondents are rejected. The subsequent discussions forwarded by the two groups of respondents are as follows. Use cutter, glue, glue stick, scotch tape, colored paper, paint, ruler, pencil, clay, plastic cover, and cardboard instead of plywood on the walls for a presentable appearance. Refer to different laws, design guidelines, and construction codes that apply to the miniature. Researchers should also pay additional time to the design and structural integrity to improve the project.
