According to the study of researchers, the class participation of every student can improve to get high academic performances by using classroom-based activities. The relationship of students to their teachers is weak because of their self-confidence and attitudes. According to the researcher’s observation, class participation was not maintained because most of the students did not have confidence in their skills. This study aims to include classroom-based activities before class discussion and assess their effectiveness in improving the participation of grade 12 students in an individual group task. The researchers conducted classroom activities to 98 selected samples, that is, 49 from the 12-06 MWF class and another 49 from the Accountancy, Business, and ManagementStrand12-16 TTHS class by using purposive sampling. This study used a descriptive research design and survey method. Based on the results of the study, providing classroom activities address the above-cited factors and improve the class participation of the students in terms of (1) individual tasks (student become more active in doing the individual tasks, and they become more motivated before the class discussion starts and (2) group tasks ((students become more participative and cooperative with others). Based on the results of the study, the researchers recommended that those students should be active during classes and class activities whether individual or by groups. The teachers should conduct activities for individual and for group tasks. School administrators should assess the effectiveness of the activities provided by the teaching for improvement.
