Self-esteem is one of the most important things that should be built within oneself. Students struggle with their self-esteem because it is a crucial process to improve. Some people may think this process is either hard or easy. It always depends on how an individual is going to handle such a situation. However, in this case, the majority of people who are having a hard time expressing themselves are students. Given that the school is where interacting and communicating is a must, generally in a large group of people. One of the examples of the activities that the students are having a hard time participating in are groupings and reporting because it involves public speaking. Therefore, researchers conducted this study to determine or give a solution to this problem. The researchers used a descriptive research design and survey to collect the desired information from the Grade 12 Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM) Strandstudents. A total of 50 respondents from Grade 12 ABM Strand were selected through purposive sampling. The result of this study showed that conducting public speaking activities, such as repeating self-information without interruptions and sharing devotions in front of the class, can effectively improve their self-esteem. Researchers found out that social environment is one of the factors that influence the students’ self-esteem. Students are having a hard time communicating and expressing their feeling because they are anxious about what people may think about them. The second factor that affects students’ self-esteem is the school environment. Expressing their emotional feelings inside the school causes their low self-esteem, but it also keeps them inspired to increase their confidence. The researchers recommended that the students must know their worth to improve and be willing to build their self-esteem. The teachers should encourage their students to participate and practice public speaking inside the classroom. The school administrators must conduct public-speaking activities for the students. This study may serve as a guide and reference for future studies.
