Proposed Private Nursery and Elementary School Miniature in Galas, Valenzuela City

Abstract

School is for children and adults. It keeps us learning more and knowing small things in this world. School improves children’s reading and writing skills and helps them socialize at a young age. To modify the school for children, the one is nursery, and the other one is elementary. We proposed placing nursery and elementary school in one building to avoid children feeling out of place in their new school and new environment; we build it in Galas, Valenzuela City. The research method of design utilized in this study was quantitative analysis. The participants of the study were limited to five Architecture students and five Civil Engineering students who assessed the level of acceptability of the proposed private nursery and elementary school in Galas, Valenzuela City in terms of concept, structural design, feasibility, and presentation. The assessment of the two groups of respondents obtained the composite mean of 3.8, which was interpreted as highly acceptable in terms of the response of Architecture students and 3.8 interpreted as Highly Acceptable in terms of concept Architecture students got 4.2 as Highly Acceptable and Civil Engineering students got 4.3 interpreted as Highly Acceptable followed by Structural design, Architecture students got 4 interpreted as highly acceptable and Civil Engineering students got 4.15 interpreted as highly acceptable. In terms of feasibility, Architecture students obtained 3.8, which was interpreted as highly acceptable, and Civil Engineering students achieved 3.7, which was interpreted as highly acceptable. In terms of presentation, Architecture students obtained 3.5, which was interpreted as highly acceptable, and Civil Engineering students achieved 3.3, which was interpreted as acceptable. The results of this study showed that this proposal needs to improve to make it useful in the community to reduce the number of students who will not be safe along their way to school and in any place. This is why it would be more appealing than previous research topics.
