Abstract

Many people are wasting things that can be reused, such as plastic bottles, which causes flooding. Thus, we thought about making a DIY dustpan to help to clean garbage to avoid gutters being blocked and flooding. Having a DIY dustpan will contribute to our society; it is also budget-friendly and will help lessen plastic bottle waste. The research focused on how helpful making a DIY dustpan is to our environment. A qualitative method was used in this study as the descriptive research design. This study involved 50 selected grade 12 Accountancy, Business, and Management Strand students. Four variables were considered as the positive outcomes of DIY dustpan: save money, reduce waste, create your DIY dustpan, and keep our environment clean. Many people choose to buy a dustpan in the market, but making this dustpan is fun as an activity done with friends or even by yourself by making your design. The study revealed that recycling has an impact on our lives and our environment. Recycling helps us save money for other personal needs. It also helps us to be creative. The study also showed that recycling is important and helps people and the environment in many ways.
