Abstract

Teaching strategies are the ways of teachers in delivering the subjects to students. Teachers must apply the method following the level of understanding of students; if not, then they will be left behind, lose interest in the discussion, and become lazy and unproductive in the class. The researchers used qualitative and descriptive research methods as the research designs. The instruments used to gather the data were survey questionnaires and related literature. The result of the study showed that the teaching strategies of their teachers influenced the students’ academic performances. Thus, teachers should align their professional experiences with their teaching strategies to benefit their students. Hence, teachers must be aware of the learning styles that they use. The use of better and more appropriate methods in teaching and learning activities will increase the students’ achievements.
