Abstract

Sports activities are one of the most important benefits of making sports a part of the school curriculum. Sports experiences can cause varsity students to become increasingly uninvolved in academics throughout their high school career as their lives become more focused on playing in the field or court. The evaluation of the sports and academic priorities of the varsity students can portray the academic gap between sports. Varsity students experience complex developmental issues that should be addressed in programs and policies created by the institution. The researchers used a survey questionnaire to gather information from the selected varsity students. This research questionnaire will gather ideas or information easily. Personal observations were gathered from the survey questionnaire. The research was conducted at Bestlink College of the Philippines. The data gathered from the literature and studies were used as secondary data. This study aimed to investigate the impact of sports activities on varsity students. This research is expected to help varsity students to succeed in the classroom and on the court or field. Support should be provided at all levels of the institution to help varsity students become intellectually, emotionally, and physically fit to exact all possible dimensions of motivation, having direct and indirect impacts on motivation techniques. All experiences are heightened because everyone expects varsity students to constantly perform well inside and outside the classroom. The consequences of not performing well can be severe and can even take the form of ridicule or even worse. The results found that sports activities affected the academic performance of varsity players who experience different levels of stress based on various things that happen during their high school lives, such as pursuing a degree, time management, and fluctuations between new experiences and transitions.
