Abstract

Transportation became an essential part of every person's daily life. Traveling from one location to another became easier by using this system. In recent years, transportation in the Philippines relatively lacks development. The construction of dual-purpose cars will help commuters and private car users to lessen the hassle of transporting from one place to another. This study aims to decrease the stress of commuters in terms of transportation. The researchers used quantitative-experimental research as the research design and purposive and simple random techniques in this study. The statistical treatment used for this study to determine the difference among the three groups of respondents was f-test or ANOVA. Using the questionnaire as the research instrument, the researchers surveyed the respondents to identify the level of acceptability of the model in terms of construction materials, designs and procedures, and mechanisms (e.g., motors, controller, air transportation, land transportation, and presentation). The following procedures were undertaken in developing the model: preparing the floor plan and the materials, programming the Arduino Uno, making the body of the car for land transportation, connecting the Arduino Uno and the motor driver, using Bluetooth module to the Arduino by using wires, making the body of the air transportation, and presenting and testing the project. The results of the study in terms of the construction materials, designs and procedures, and mechanisms (e.g., motors, controller, air transportation, land transportation, and presentation) are highly acceptable. The acquired overall mean of the 5th-year Computer Engineering students was 4.09, which was interpreted as highly acceptable. The 5th-year Aeronautical Engineering students had an overall mean of 4.20 interpreted as highly acceptable, and professional mechanical engineers has an overall mean of 4.07, which was interpreted as highly acceptable. The f-value was 6.93, and the f-computed was 0.03. These results indicated no significant difference between the assessments of the three groups of respondents. To improve the project further, the respondents recommended that future researchers should use lightweight materials and improve the lifting ability of the project. The researchers also recommended that future researchers should manage their time wisely and be responsible. Keywords:
