This action research aimed to answer whether providing and posting visual paraphernalia along the hallways of the school can be an effective promotional tool to promote the Filipino language. The researchers also found ways to construct guidelines that help create effective promotional postcards. The researchers chose this study because students tend to focus on learning English and other languages instead of Filipino. The news regarding the exclusion of Filipino subjects in the college curriculum is also alarming. The research used qualitative descriptive research design to explain the results more clearly. Survey and interviews were used as researchers’ instruments to collect data. The respondents of the research were 50Grade 12 students from sections 1−6 who were chosen using nonprobability convenient sampling. Based on the results of the study, using visual paraphernalia as marketing strategies effectively promoted the following: (1) Awareness of students toward the Filipino Language –The study also depicted that posting visual paraphernalia can effectively promote the Filipino language. It is an effective strategy that can raise awareness to students about the importance of learning and using Filipino. (2) Promoting proficiency in using Filipino –Using the visual paraphernalia effectively promoted the Filipino language. It helped the students to become proficient in other terminologies of the Filipino language. (3) Deepening the knowledge of students about the Filipino Language –Using visual paraphernalia helped the students to deepen their knowledge about the Filipino language, different Filipino terminologies, and proper ways of using Filipino words in communication. Following the constructed guidelines can help students, teachers, school administration, and other people to create effective and efficient promotional visual paraphernalia. The active participation of students was required to perform the action plan well. The encouragement and support from teachers and school administration in conducting activities that can promote the Filipino language also helped the study to become more successful. The ideas of future researchers may also improve this study.
