Computerized Alumni Information System for Bestlink College of the Philippines

Abstract

The alumni information system is a system that allows college or university alumni to communicate with one another. The main purpose of this project is to provide all the details about alumni, senior high school students, social networks, opportunities, news, and students. Alumni can also provide the public post in the system about possible job opportunities or other senior highschool-related news. We used the systems development life cycle. In the planning stage, we planned to make our system and prepared the questionnaire. In the analysis stage, we went to the main campus of BestlinkCollege of the Philippines to collect data about alumni and the design part. In the design stage, we designed the layout for the system. In the development part, our programmer started coding to have the functionality of our system. When the system was done, we asked our clients to test the system for possible errors. We used the parallel conversion simultaneous implementation of the old and new systems until the new system is fully implemented. In the maintenance stage, we obtained feedback from the intended users of our system. In the system, you need to log in as a user or an admin for the security of the system. If you are logged in as a user, then there are limitations on what you can access inside the system, such as printing a hard copy of the records or changing the information in the table. However, if you are logged in as an admin, then you can print and change the information in tables. The admin has no limitation in accessing the information of the alumni. After logging in, you will be directed into the mainframe where you can add, edit, and delete the information, but only the admin can access this function. We conducted this research to provide a computerized alumni information system for Bestlink College of the Philippines.
