Abstract

Banana peel or husk containsvitaminB6, which is also known as pyridoxine. Vitamin B6 is a water-soluble vitamin that our body needs. Siomai is said to have originated in Huhhot, inner in Mongolia, during the Ming dynasty(1368–1644). Siomaialso serves as a side dish in the early days. At present, siomai is popular in the market, so the researchers decide to have a new twist. We decided to make a Siomai is that is healthier than the usual with the use of banana peel as the main ingredient. Experimental methods are a systematic and scientific approach to research in which the researchers manipulate one or more variables and control and measure any change in other variables. In conducting a survey, questionnaires area must to gather data that are needed in the research. The simple random technique was used to select a group of subjects for a study from a larger group showed that the teachers obtained the weighted mean of7.7, with the verbal interpretation of strongly agree, while the students had a weighted mean of3.8, with the verbal interpretation of strongly agree. Hence, the difference between the assessments of the two groups of respondents is not significant. We took a long time to make banana peel siomai because we continuously practiced to perfect it. Future researchers should be creative to discover a new food that no one has ever thought of yet.
