Abstract

Bananas are high in potassium and pectin, which is a form of fiber. Meanwhile, chicken nugget is high in cholesterol and carbohydrates because it is composed of meat and flour, which absorb the oil when deep fried. The researchers decided to make something that has low cholesterol for a healthy diet. The researchers choose an experimental research design. Simple random sampling was used to select respondents. Lastly, a survey questionnaire was used to gather information from the respondents. The results showed that in terms of taste, the weighted means were 3.44 for teachers and 3.50 students, with the same verbal interpretation of agree. In terms of aroma, the weighted means were 3.69 for teachers and 4.36 for students, with the same verbal interpretation of strongly agree. In terms of nutritional value, the weighted means were 4.05 for teachers and 4.22 for students, with the same verbal interpretation of strongly agree. In terms of presentation, the weighted means were 4.05 for teachers and 4.15 for students, with the same verbal interpretation of strongly agree. The results above showed that the difference between the two groups of respondents was not significant. The researchers recommended trying this product with dips such as cheese sauce, ketchup, mayonnaise, and sour cream. The researchers also recommended eating banana peel nuggets as the main course with soy sauce with lemon.
