This study aims to understand employee competency and job requirements at Unibond Group of Companies in Cubao, Quezon City as a basis for improvement. Enhancing business performance involves refining strategies, processes, and customer experiences to meet evolving demands while maximizing efficiency. Empowering employees by aligning their competencies with job requirements is crucial for organizational success. Competent employees not only possess the necessary qualifications and experience for their desired positions but also continuously learn, grow, and contribute to the overall success of the organization. Job requirements include the qualifications and specifications essential for effective performance in a given role. This study employed a quantitative research approach to measure employee competency in relation to job requirements, including skills, knowledge, learning experience, productivity levels, and employee engagement. A self-made questionnaire was used to collect data from all employees of the selected company through surveys and documentation. Findings indicate that both education and experience play significant roles in securing employment. The majority of hired college graduates were women, with their learning experiences positively influencing their employee competency in relation to job requirements. The study reveals that training and development significantly impact employee competency, demonstrating the effectiveness of training initiatives in enhancing individual capabilities. Moreover, businesses can use these findings to identify areas for improvement, optimize resource allocation, and foster continuous learning and growth within the workplace. This study not only presents facts from the literature review but also provides a deeper understanding of how organizations benefit from competent employees.
