Abstract

This study examines the impact of Financial Technology (FinTech) on the operational efficiency of microenterprises in Novaliches, Quezon City, Philippines. Microenterprises—typically employing fewer than ten people—play a crucial role in the local economy but often face challenges such as limited access to capital, inefficient resource allocation, and reliance on manual financial management. The study adopted a quantitative descriptive research design, which is particularly effective in addressing the specific objectives of the research. This approach enables the collection of numerical data and provides a clear, systematic overview of the variables under investigation. The primary goal of using this design was to obtain detailed information on the impact of FinTech on the operational efficiency of microenterprises in Novaliches, Quezon City. The study utilized Likert scale analysis to evaluate survey data and determine the extent to which FinTech tools contribute to the operational efficiency of microenterprises. Results indicate that many businesses experienced increased profits and revenue due to improved access to digital payment systems, mobile banking, and online sales platforms. These FinTech tools enable microenterprises to reach a broader customer base, facilitate faster transactions, and provide more convenient payment options, ultimately leading to higher sales. The study highlights that FinTech adoption among a diverse group of micro-entrepreneurs has significantly improved profitability, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. By leveraging digital tools such as mobile banking, payment platforms, and transaction analytics, businesses have reduced costs, enhanced risk management, and expanded their market reach. These findings can guide the development of targeted training programs and support systems aimed at helping microenterprises optimize operations and sustain growth.
