Abstract

This study explores the perceptions of Grade 12 General Academic Strand students at Bestlink College of the Philippines regarding traditional classroom instruction. Through surveys and interviews, the researchers gathered insights into students' experiences, preferences, and attitudes toward traditional teaching methods in their academic setting. The study aims to assess the efficiency of traditional classroom instruction as perceived by these students. This study serves as a basis for understanding the effectiveness of traditional classroom instruction. A descriptive-quantitative research design was used to analyze the perceptions of Grade 12 General Academic Strand students at Bestlink College of the Philippines. A cluster sampling technique was employed, and data were gathered through a structured questionnaire. The findings indicate that students evaluated traditional classroom instruction in terms of teacher-student interaction (3.05), learning outcomes (3.29), and collaboration (3.18), resulting in an overall mean of 3.17, interpreted as "Agree" and "Efficient." Additionally, students assessed facilities (3.14), teaching strategy (3.06), and student engagement (3.07), with an overall mean of 3.09, also interpreted as "Agree" and "Efficient." The results suggest that traditional classroom instruction remains effective for General Academic Strand students. However, further improvements and innovations are recommended to enhance teaching strategies and student engagement. An action plan was formulated to maintain and improve the efficiency of traditional classroom instruction.
