Abstract

In an age defined by industrial growth and swift urban expansion, unsustainable techniques and practices are increasingly having harmful effects that endanger the fragile equilibrium of our planet. In light of these urgent issues, a significant shift towards sustainability and environmental friendliness is essential for worldwide survival and success. The challenges focus on evaluating the practices within the sector and how consumers view them in relation to their overall experience. It seeks to assess the influence of sustainable eco-friendly practices on guest satisfaction rates and to develop a guide that can aid future efforts. This research aims to highlight the various advantages of embracing eco-friendly approaches. Through a detailed examination, researchers seek to demonstrate the beneficial impacts of these practices. To ensure unbiased findings, researchers carried out a study at the McDonald’s branch in Munoz, which caters to a varied customer base. This research employed a descriptive quantitative research approach to systematically evaluate the effects of sustainability initiatives, thereby promoting eco-friendly practices within the fast-food industry. The researchers conducted a survey involving 50 customers to assess their contentment with the introduction of eco-friendly measures. By using a cluster sampling method, the researchers chose McDonald's in Muñoz Quezon City, with the goal of thoroughly examining the impacts of sustainable practices in this particular region. A survey questionnaire acted as the main tool for gathering and analyzing data. The results showed a significant rise in positive results when customers are educated about sustainability practices. A substantial segment shared positive opinions regarding waste reduction in restaurants, particularly among eco-conscious individuals. Notably, there is a positive perception of restaurants that follow environmental regulations and adopt energy-saving strategies. Furthermore, initiatives aimed at community impact were emphasized for their beneficial influence on promoting a healthier environment. The research illustrates the various advantages of sustainable, eco-friendly practices for companies, such as improved brand reputation, greater customer satisfaction, and favorable community effects. This research is considered important as it offers useful information that can help in minimizing waste generation that could damage the environment, as well as in addressing the current expectations of environmentally aware consumers.
