Abstract

This study focuses on the development of a web-based inventory system for Primachem Cosmetic Manufacturing to streamline material tracking and product shipment management. The system enhances efficiency by accurately monitoring incoming and outgoing products, reducing potential errors and improving overall inventory control.  With this system, Primachem Cosmetic Manufacturing can maintain organized and precise product data, ensuring seamless inventory flow within the company. Additionally, the system prioritizes data security and privacy, safeguarding confidential company information.  The researchers developed the system using Visual Studio Code, integrating a user-friendly interface for efficient and secure inventory management. The development of this Inventory System followed the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Waterfall Model, which consists of seven stages: Planning, Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, Implementation, and Maintenance.  To ensure a structured and efficient development process, the researchers first assigned roles and responsibilities within the team and conducted a brainstorming session to finalize the system concept and title. After identifying a client, they prepared an endorsement letter and interview questions to gather essential information and requirements. The interview process allowed the researchers to understand the client’s specific needs and expectations, ensuring that the system would be tailored to meet operational demands before moving forward with development. The inventory system manages the quantity of materials and supplies and monitors the various items required for manufacturing. The system enhances the accuracy of the product data by implementing measures to reduce errors in the information provided and easy retrieval of information to address the unorganized nature of the product data. This study focuses on the Primachem Cosmetics Manufacturing Inventory System, designed to streamline inventory management by automating the tracking of products entering and leaving the company’s inventory. This eliminates the need for manual recording, reducing errors and improving efficiency.  The system ensures secure access, with the company owner having exclusive administrative control to monitor logins and activity. Additionally, selected authorized personnel can manage and track warehouse materials. A notification feature alerts users when specific products or materials are low or out of stock, helping prevent supply shortages.  The product list section includes input fields for product names and stock quantities, along with an option to upload product images through a "Choose File" button. This allows users to add product images easily without modifying the system's code, enhancing usability and efficiency.
