Abstract

For students, learning is more than just sitting through lectures in a classroom. Students have a unique opportunity to deepen their understanding and acquire critical life skills through school-related events and activities. The school provides kids with a well-rounded education that enables them to demonstrate their abilities. Engaging in school activities helps students grow as individuals and build solid relationships with their teachers, administrators, and peers. The purpose of this study was to ascertain how involved parents and students were in the Humanities and Social Sciences Strand events and activities at Bestlink College of the Philippines. This study employs a quantitative analysis approach using quota sampling to gather information from 150 Grade 11 Humanities and Social Science students regarding their parents' and students' participation in school events and activities related to the humanities and social sciences at Bestlink College of the Philippines. To get the respondents' answers, the researchers employed a questionnaire as a data gathering instrument. The respondents evaluate their parents' participation in school events and activities based on the findings, taking into account factors like confidence, rapport, and financial constraints. There are also certain advantages that students might gain from school events and activities in terms of interest, talents, and experience. At Bestlink College of the Philippines, the discussion presents a summary of the findings regarding the involvement of parents and students in school activities and events related to the humanities and social sciences, the academic benefits that students receive from these activities and events, and the suggestions made by the respondents.
