Abstract

Community officials and members frequently collaborate on events and gatherings, but effective information flow is crucial for ensuring that community members are aware of event details. However, some members struggle to access or receive notifications, leading to a lack of awareness. This study proposes the development of a community engagement system integrated with an analytical report builder and a business intelligence management system. The goal is to enhance accessibility and streamline notifications for local events and news, ensuring that community members stay well-informed. The research utilized an agile methodology, involving continuous user consultations to refine the system's design and functionality. The development process included sprint planning and execution, continuous integration and development, and strict adherence to Agile Principles to ensure an iterative and user-centered approach. The Community Engagement System serves as a valuable tool for Local Government Units (LGUs) by improving service delivery, decision-making, and community engagement. It enables LGUs to identify community needs, prioritize resources, and address challenges effectively. Additionally, the system enhances reporting procedures, promotes accountability and transparency, and fosters public trust by providing real-time updates on projects, budget allocations, and performance measures. Future enhancements may include advanced analytics and multi-channel engagement platforms. The study highlights that integrating analytic tools, report builders, and business intelligence management systems can significantly enhance community engagement. These tools offer data-driven insights that improve decision-making and targeted interventions. However, the research acknowledges limitations such as data privacy concerns, security risks, and accessibility challenges. Moreover, successful implementation demands substantial investment in time, resources, and capacity-building.
