Abstract

While some Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) tools require internet access to function, they provide significant benefits in terms of efficiency and automation. The purpose of utilizing A.I. tools varies depending on the context, but they generally enhance productivity, accuracy, and streamline various tasks. Vitaliy Yashchenko's theory posits that artificial intelligence can serve as a valuable source of knowledge, understanding, and intelligence, positioning A.I. as a field of study in its own right. The Statement of the Problem explores how respondents perceive the effectiveness of A.I. tools and how they assess the benefits these tools bring to their tasks and processes. This study employed a quantitative-descriptive research design with purposive sampling. A total of 150 Grade 12 Humanities and Social Sciences students from Bestlink College of the Philippines participated in the survey. The survey questionnaire was used as the main instrument to evaluate students' preferences regarding the use of Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) tools in academic performance, focusing on key factors such as accessibility, accuracy, efficiency, and data analysis. The results reveal that the respondents strongly agree on the positive impact of using AI tools on their academic performance, specifically in written work, performance tasks, and exams. They also strongly agree that artificial intelligence is beneficial in improving their performance across these academic activities. Based on the findings, the researchers recommend the following guidelines for using Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a tool to improve academic performance:  Understand Ethical Use: Learn how to properly and ethically use AI tools in academic tasks to ensure responsible application. Verify AI Results: Always verify AI-generated results to ensure their accuracy and reliability. Avoid Blind Trust: Do not rely solely on AI-generated outputs—apply critical thinking and judgment to assess the results. Embrace Continuous Learning: Use AI tools as an aid to enhance learning and promote the development of new skills. Balance with Human Input: Integrate AI support with personal input and creativity to maintain originality in academic work. Ensure Privacy and Security: Safeguard personal data and ensure that AI tools follow privacy regulations and security protocols.
