Abstract

This chapter examines the implementation of curfew hours and their role in maintaining peace and order in Barangay 176, Bagong Silang, Caloocan City. It provides an overview of the background of the study, related literature and studies, theoretical and conceptual frameworks, statement of the problem, assumptions, scope and delimitations, significance of the study, and definition of terms. This study utilized a descriptive research design to evaluate the impact of curfew hour implementation on peace and order development in Barangay 176, Bagong Silang, Caloocan City. The respondents included 30 residents and 30 barangay personnel, who participated by answering a structured questionnaire. Based on the collected data, the age group 42-50 had the highest frequency, with 16 respondents (26.7%). The 26-33 age group followed closely with 15 respondents (25%), ranking second. The 34-41 age group ranked third, with 12 respondents (20%). The 18-25 age group ranked fourth, with 11 respondents (18.3%). Lastly, the 50 and above age group had the lowest frequency, with 6 respondents (10%).  In terms of sex distribution, males comprised the majority, with 34 respondents (56.7%), while females accounted for 26 respondents (43.3%). The demographic profile of the respondents was analyzed based on age, sex, and marital status.  Age Distribution: The 42-50 age group had the highest representation, with 16 respondents (26.7%), followed closely by the 26-33 age group, which had 15 respondents (25%). The 34-41 age group ranked third, with 12 respondents (20%). The 18-25 age group followed with 11 respondents (18.3%), while the 50 and above age group had the lowest representation, with 6 respondents (10%).  Sex Distribution: Males comprised the majority of respondents, with 34 individuals (56.7%), while females accounted for 26 respondents (43.3%).  Marital Status: Among the respondents, married individuals ranked highest, with 34 respondents (56.7%). Single respondents followed, with 15 individuals (25%). Separated respondents accounted for 8 individuals (13.3%), while widowed individuals had the lowest representation, with only 1 respondent (5%).
