The effectiveness of private security services significantly impacts public safety and the protection of individuals, businesses, and organizations. Private security companies play a crucial role in providing patrol and monitoring services, responding to alarms, disturbances, and emergencies, and taking necessary actions to mitigate risks in various situations where customers and individuals require assistance and guidance. This study applied a descriptive-quantitative research method to gather data. The researchers utilized a descriptive-quantitative survey questionnaire to identify factors affecting the performance of private security officers in protecting their clients in selected private establishments in Barangay 176, Bagong Silang, Caloocan City. The respondents of the study were limited to 30 selected private security officers and 20 selected clients from private establishments in Brgy. 176, Bagong Silang, Caloocan City. From the results of the study, some respondents were hesitant to participate in the survey due to the high risks associated with their work, as security guards must prioritize the safety of the vicinity. It is recommended to implement strict penalties and introduce organizational procedures and a code of ethics to encourage responsible behavior. Additionally, avoiding unnecessary arguments and making informed decisions can help de-escalate conflicts. Reporting incidents and interacting with law enforcement should be emphasized, and security firms should provide guards with radios and proper training in documentation to ensure accurate incident reporting. Security personnel should also be encouraged to attend conferences on online tech communities to stay updated with evolving technology. Regular debriefings and counseling services should be available to address any emotional distress resulting from their work. Lastly, providing proper training in self-defense techniques is essential for the safety and preparedness of security guards. The researchers respectfully recommend the following: The study found that most security officers lack adequate training and professional development. To address this issue, it is essential to develop and implement comprehensive training programs covering critical skills such as emergency response procedures, legal regulations, communication techniques, and technology operations. Additionally, regular debriefing and counseling services should be provided to security guards to help them cope with any psychological or emotional challenges resulting from their experiences on duty.
