Abstract

Opportunities abound, but they come with significant work and challenges. As time passes, the bar is raised, and to apply for jobs and secure a decent position, one needs a degree, qualifications, accomplishments, experience, and a lot of paperwork. Physical attributes also play a significant role in qualifying, and they can be a reason for a lack of opportunity, particularly for people with physical limitations. The study utilized a descriptive research design. The participants of this study were 234 individuals with physical challenges in Barangay Bagong Silangan, Quezon City, who were employed. Using a random sampling technique, the respondents answered the questionnaire created by the researchers. The study reveals that the majority of respondents are female, with 32.05% aged 25-35, and 23.08% wheelchair users. A 50-50 split between white and blue-collar jobs. Social and emotional well-being in the workplace is influenced by physical challenges, with a composite mean of 3.09 and 3.32, respectively. Support and physical challenges affect well-being. The results recommends local government providing seminars and programs to support individuals with disabilities, emphasizing that unique abilities are always present, regardless of disability, and that opportunities are for everyone.
