Abstract

This study focuses on psychological health in relation to psychological stress, aiming to deepen the understanding of human behavior. Factors such as emotional resilience, coping mechanisms, and support systems play a significant role in how individuals manage stress and maintain their psychological well-being. The method used to collect and analyze numerical data was a questionnaire. This questionnaire focused on how students manage stress while balancing work and academic performance. The researchers aimed to assess the psychological health and stress levels of working students today. Balancing work and studies is a demanding task for many students, with approximately 80% experiencing significant stress. While some use coping strategies to manage it, 46.67% report that their job negatively affects their academic performance. Although many students believe they can handle the challenges of being a working student, nearly half struggle to focus on their studies. Responses also vary when it comes to prioritizing mental health—while almost 60% say they can prioritize it, 13% admit they cannot. Juggling work and academic responsibilities often leads to increased stress, which can negatively impact both mental health and academic performance. In many cases, the psychological well-being of working students is compromised due to the pressure of meeting both work and school deadlines. However, effectively managing stress is crucial for maintaining academic performance. Students who develop strong coping mechanisms tend to perform better academically, even in challenging situations.
