Abstract

The chapter entails the background study, related literature and studies, theoretical framework, conceptual framework, statement of the problem, assumptions of the study, scope and delimitations, significance of the study, and definition of terms. This chapter deals with the discussion of the research methodology and other procedures used by the researchers in gathering the needed data for the study. It includes the research design, population, sampling, research instrument, data-gathering procedure, as well as the analysis and treatment of data. This chapter shows presentations of tables, analysis, and interpretation of the data gathered by the researchers. It includes the profile of the respondents, the survey questions, as well as the statistical treatment used in the study. This study focuses on the effects of the construction of the Metro Rail Transit along Malaria, Caloocan City, and aims to formulate the objectives of the study. In this study, the researchers were able to determine the demographic profile of the respondents in terms of age, gender, and group; to assess the respondents' opinions on the construction of the Metro Rail Transit along Malaria, Caloocan City, in terms of road infrastructure, vehicle density, population growth, and public transportation; to identify the problems encountered by commuters along Malaria Road during the construction of the Metro Rail Transit, described in terms of road closures due to construction, inadequate capacity of the road, potholes and uneven pavement on roads, inadequate streetlights, improper markings, constant traffic associated with high car density, and illegal parking on the side street. The target number of participants in this research is 55 respondents. The researchers used purposive sampling to select the participants.   The data-gathering procedure is the process of collecting and measuring information on targeted variables in an established system, which then enables one to answer relevant questions and evaluate outcomes.
