The COVID-19 pandemic has posed significant challenges for Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management (BSTM) students at Bestlink College of the Philippines who are also employed. This study examines the unique struggles faced by these working students, emphasizing the impact of the pandemic on both their academic and professional lives. Globally, millions have suffered severe physical, emotional, and financial hardships due to the pandemic. Working students, in particular, have faced difficulties in balancing their studies and job responsibilities while navigating the stress and uncertainty brought about by the crisis. This qualitative study utilizes in-depth interviews and surveys to examine the diverse challenges faced by working Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management (BSTM) students amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The findings reveal significant disruptions in academic routines, financial hardships, and heightened stress levels, offering a comprehensive understanding of the complex struggles these students encounter while balancing work and studies. In light of these findings, this research proposes an intervention program tailored to support working students in navigating the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. The program includes academic assistance, mental health resources, and professional development opportunities. Additionally, it outlines proactive measures to enhance institutional preparedness for future disruptions, fostering a more resilient and adaptive learning environment. This study contributes to the academic discourse on the impact of the pandemic while offering practical solutions for institutions to effectively support working students. By prioritizing their well-being and academic success, the proposed intervention program aims to foster resilience, enhance institutional support systems, and ensure a more adaptive response to future challenges in education.
