Abstract

Nowadays, as future educators, students must know thesignificance of multimedia into the field of teaching and how its significance incorporates to its contents, reinforcing one’s ideas by using a variety of media and multimedia in the teaching and learning process. Multimedia has considerable effects on the learning and teaching process. Multimedia can be useful for the teachers to handle the class easily and properly use the time for teaching. The descriptive method was used to evaluate the effectiveness of multimedia in teaching performance. Important data and ideas were gathered through observation, questionnaire survey, and unstructured interviews with 10Grade 3 teachers at Caloocan North Elementary School. Based on the findings of the study, the majority of the respondents used multimedia, such as laptops and a projector, as a part of their teaching process. Respondents also concluded that multimedia helps them in terms of tools for instruction. However, the respondents also encountered problems such as a lack of equipment. The respondents suggested addressing the problems encountered in using multimedia. Teachers should have a wide knowledge of the use of multimedia devices to meet the needs of the present time. School administrators should conduct training, seminars, and workshops on the use of multimedia for classroom instruction and purchase and acquire tools and equipment such as projectors and laptops for classroom use.
