Abstract

The Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Management System is a digital platform designed to strengthen the efficiency and effectiveness of youth governance in the Philippines. This system empowers young individuals to actively participate in local governance and advocate for the needs and interests of the youth within their communities.

A key feature of the platform is program scheduling, which streamlines the organization and management of youth-related activities, fostering increased engagement and participation. Additionally, the system provides real-time access to data and events, enabling SK officials and youth participants to stay informed about ongoing activities, project updates, and community initiatives.

Another core component is the AI-Assisted Educational Program, which delivers personalized learning experiences by tailoring educational content and resources to the unique needs of each learner. This feature is aimed at enhancing academic support and promoting inclusive, adaptive learning within the youth sector. The Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Management System utilizes a digital platform to efficiently manage the planning, coordination, and execution of youth-related programs and community initiatives. Designed to be user-friendly, the system allows SK officials to oversee event scheduling, monitor budgets, facilitate communication, and maintain project documentation. The integration of automated tools reduces manual workload and enhances both transparency and accountability in SK governance. Additionally, the system promotes data-driven decision-making by tracking project performance, enabling regular assessments and fostering continuous improvement in youth development efforts. Challenges in the registration process include inefficient communication and overly complex procedures, which discourage youth participation. Additionally, overlapping or poorly timed program schedules hinder attendance, as participants often cannot accommodate these activities within their routines. Apathy towards Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) programs is further driven by a lack of perceived relevance, inadequate promotion, and a misalignment between the initiatives and the actual needs and interests of the community. The Sangguniang Kabataan in Barangay Nagkaisang Nayon has taken significant steps to address common issues in its programs. The registration process has been streamlined and made more accessible through clearer communication and the use of an online system. Additionally, SK officers have adopted various social media platforms to improve program promotion and have actively involved the youth in the planning process. These efforts aim to increase the relevance, accessibility, and participation in SK programs within the community.
