With the rapid advancement of technology, there is a growing need to modernize the monitoring and management of public markets. This study proposes the implementation of the Public Market Monitoring System (PMMS), which includes a vendor portal, vendor mapping, and feedback services. The system aims to address challenges faced by market masters, vendors, and customers by providing an integrated digital platform that facilitates stall management, vendor oversight, and improved communication among stakeholders. The system was developed using a microservices architecture and Agile Scrum methodology to ensure flexibility and continuous improvement. Core features include vendor registration, stall allocation, payment tracking, violation monitoring, customer feedback collection, and real-time notifications. API integrations were implemented to enable seamless data exchange with local government unit (LGU) systems. Separate user interfaces were designed for administrators and vendors to enhance usability. Security and data privacy protocols were incorporated throughout the system, and user experience was prioritized through a clean design and navigational mapping features for market accessibility. The implementation of PMMS resulted in increased efficiency for market masters, as manual processes were reduced through automation. The feedback system, powered by sentiment analysis AI, enabled market administrators to categorize and respond to feedback more effectively. Users were able to submit reports and suggestions through the system, allowing timely resolution of concerns. The mapping feature improved the ability of vendors and customers to locate stalls, facilitating smoother operations and enhancing the overall market experience. This study demonstrates the potential of technology to modernize traditional public market operations. The Public Market Monitoring System improved administrative efficiency, enhanced transparency, and fostered better service delivery. It also supported more informed decision-making and active communication between stakeholders. The system is expected to contribute significantly to the digital transformation of market governance at the barangay level and provide a replicable model for other LGUs aiming to modernize local economic infrastructure.
