INFORMATION SYSTEM FOR CHRIST THE POWER AND WISDOM OF GOD CHURCH

Abstract

An information system is a set of interconnected components that collect, process, store, and share information to support decision-making and operations within organizations. The Christ the Power and Wisdom of God Church, established to spread the word of God, utilizes an information system to effectively manage data and help achieve the Church’s goals. This study focused on a single-case organization, Christ the Power and Wisdom of God Church, Inc. The researchers employed the Waterfall methodology and used Java, Apache NetBeans IDE 25, MySQL, and SQL Yog to develop the information system. To identify the church’s problems and requirements, the researchers conducted interviews with the church administrator. Throughout the development and implementation process, the researchers collaborated closely with the church administrators and staff. The developed information system effectively resolved issues related to unclear membership records, paper-based documentation, disorganized information, and unsecured church data. Testing results demonstrated that the system is efficient, user-friendly, and reliable. It offers a secure and organized approach to storing and retrieving church information, while also supporting decision-making processes for managing reports and events. The findings indicate that the system can be adopted by other churches and organizations to enhance their information management capabilities. Its user-friendly interface and ease of use make it accessible to users with diverse levels of technical expertise. Overall, this study highlights the potential of information systems to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of church operations.
