Human Resource Management (HRM) plays a vital role in shaping a company’s workforce by attracting competitive, skilled, and goal-driven individuals. However, traditional HR systems often face challenges such as delays in recruitment and inconsistent candidate experiences. To address these inefficiencies, AI-driven resume screening has emerged as a smart solution. This technology automates the analysis and shortlisting of candidates based on their qualifications, experience, and alignment with the company’s values and culture. This study focuses on Freight Management System Human Resource 2: Recruitment and Onboarding Management System with AI-Driven Resume Screening, which aims to modernize and streamline the hiring process, enhance candidate evaluation, and improve overall onboarding efficiency. A mixed-methods approach was employed to assess the effectiveness of the capstone project in enhancing applicant onboarding and operational efficiency. The study combined qualitative interviews and the Agile development methodology. Interviews with the owner of GGP’s Company provided valuable insights into the existing recruitment process and informed the system's design. The Agile methodology, consisting of planning, design, development, testing, and deployment phases, enabled a flexible and iterative development process, allowing for continuous improvement based on stakeholder feedback. The capstone project significantly enhanced the efficiency of the hiring process and improved the readiness of new employees. At its core is an AI-driven resume Screening tool (powered by Claude 3 Sonnet API), which intelligently analyzes and ranks candidates based on qualifications, experience, and job relevance. This automation reduces manual screening time and increases the precision of candidate selection. The system also features a comprehensive Applicant Tracking System (ATS), real-time candidate monitoring, streamlined interview scheduling, and seamless integration with other HR modules, creating a unified, end-to-end recruitment and onboarding solution. Human Resource 2 showcases the transformative potential of integrating intelligent automation, personalized data handling, and modular system design into recruitment and onboarding processes. The system significantly accelerates and simplifies hiring while enhancing the overall experience for both HR personnel and applicants. Its forward-compatible architecture also enables seamless expansion, supporting future integrations such as LinkedIn and Indeed connectivity, AI-powered job recommendation engines, advanced data analytics, and performance optimization through caching.
