Videoke regulation plays a significant role in promoting peace and order, particularly in densely populated urban communities. In Barangay 167, Caloocan City, the excessive and unregulated use of videoke systems has emerged as a pressing concern, affecting the quality of life and well-being of residents. Prolonged videoke sessions often result in noise disturbances that disrupt rest, daily routines, and social harmony, potentially leading to stress, strained neighbor relations, and reduced productivity. In response to these issues, the local government enacted Ordinance No. 0643, Series of 2016, aimed at regulating videoke use and mitigating its negative impact on residential areas. This study aims to assess the implementation and effectiveness of this ordinance, also known as the Videoke Regulation, within Barangay 167, Caloocan City. This study utilized a quantitative research design to evaluate the effectiveness of Ordinance No. 0643, Series of 2016, also known as the Videoke Regulation Ordinance, in Barangay 167, Caloocan City. It aimed to assess community awareness, compliance levels, and the influence of demographic factors on the ordinance’s implementation. A total of 50 respondents participated in the study, consisting of 20 enforcement personnel (from the Philippine National Police and barangay officials) and 30 residents. To ensure fairness and reduce sampling bias, the researchers employed simple random sampling using a master list of households as the sampling frame. This approach allowed for an accurate and representative understanding of the community’s perceptions regarding the ordinance’s impact on local peace and order. This study employs a quantitative research design to evaluate the effectiveness of Ordinance No. 0643, Series of 2016, also known as the Videoke Regulation Ordinance, in Barangay 167, Caloocan City. It specifically examines the levels of community awareness, compliance, and the influence of demographic factors on the implementation of the ordinance. A total of 50 respondents participated in the study, including 20 enforcers (comprising barangay officials and members of the Philippine National Police) and 30 residents. To ensure an unbiased and representative sample, the study utilized simple random sampling, drawing from a master list of households. This method enabled the collection of reliable data that reflects the community’s perceptions and experiences regarding the ordinance’s impact on peace and order. To improve the effectiveness of the Videoke Regulation Ordinance, it is recommended that targeted awareness campaigns be launched to educate residents on the ordinance’s objectives, benefits, and importance in maintaining community peace and order. Facilitating community dialogues can help address resistance, promote open communication, and build public support. Local government units should ensure consistent and fair enforcement by addressing logistical and resource-related challenges, including the allocation of adequate funding for monitoring and enforcement efforts. Moreover, barangay officials are encouraged to strengthen community engagement through regular consultations, public meetings, and localized campaigns to foster cooperation and voluntary compliance. Future studies should consider examining cultural attitudes toward videoke use, identifying effective compliance strategies, and evaluating the impact of enforcement on public perception and acceptance, particularly in densely populated residential areas.
