Abstract

 

This study is entitled “Assessment of the Health and Safety Procedure in the Selected fast-food Chain in Quezon City.” This study aims to determine the health hazards and working conditions of staff in selected fast food chains in Quezon City. This study will be conducted at a selected fast-food chain in Quezon City. The researchers study the health hazards and working conditions in safety.

This study was conducted using descriptive research methods. They utilized a Likert rating scale questionnaire to fully describe and determine the health and safety procedures in selected fast-food chains. This method and technique were chosen because it allowed a description of the demographic profile of the respondents. It also described the health hazards of the crew staff of the respondents.

The respondents described the health and safety procedures to the employees of selected fast-food chains as “strongly agree” in terms of them during the food handling procedure. According to the researchers described, the challenges encountered by the respondents during their duty are the “employee turnover” while the time is a moderate challenge in terms of their work hours. Among the two (2) variables of assessing the procedure on health and safety of attitude, “properly handwashing” is the most strongly agreed and got highly approved by the food handler.

Employees are urged to prepare the food handling protocol and wash their hands thoroughly after handling raw food. In the future, researchers must acquire the fundamentals of food handling and cleanliness. At last, when it comes to the food and personal cleanliness of their staff, managers need to be watchful and firm.
