Drug addiction has emerged as one of the major social problems in the Philippines and
undoubtedly proves to be a major hindrance in the proper growth and development of an
individual, society, nation, and the world as a whole. And it became rampant throughout the
national. Addiction is one of the most complicated conditions that we face nowadays.
Addiction to drugs is not just a user's problem. Substance misuse has impacted every facet of
life, including family, community, health, education, crime, and even employment. An effective
strategy for reducing drug usage is education. Other environments, including educational
institutions, are significant because of the contributions they make to socialization and
learning. Since drugs are the most serious problem confronting our society, the researchers
examined the topic to support the idea that drugs have a significant impact on all these
important factors and what programs must be implemented to prevent people involved in drug
abuse.
This chapter will present the interpretation and analysis of data based on the subproblems
posited in this study. It discussed the Social Implications of Drug Abuse towards alternative
development in Barangay Muzon City of San Jose Del Monte Bulacan, problems
encountered, and the proposed programs for the problems encountered.
