Abstract

Several people now enjoy playing online games because they can provide entertainment for
the majority of them, most of whom are teenagers. The increase in the number of people
playing online games also has negative effects, especially among students, who are mostly
affected by these games because of the frequency and duration of those who play them.
Usually, it affects students' social interaction, academic performance, and attitude. But on the
other hand, it also has a positive effect on some of the players; some of it helps in giving them
enjoyment, and some of them make friends by playing it.


This study revealed that online games have a huge impact on them regarding their academic
performance, attitude, and socialization. The majority of the respondents favored online
games that had an impact on their social behavior.


In this gathered data, the researcher found that online games have a negative and positive
impact on the social behavior of 1st-year criminology students. Studies revealed that online
games have a huge impact on them regarding their academic performance, attitude, and
socialization. The majority of the respondents favored that online games had an impact on
their social behavior.
