Effects of Mamaya NA Attitude: An Assessment on the Academic Achievement of Grade 12 Students of Bestlink College of the Philippines

Abstract

This research is conducted to find out if there’s a significant relationship between the
“Mamaya na” Attitude of the Grade 12 students and the effect of its frequency on their
Academic Achievement. The population of the study consists of Grade 12 Students at Bestlink
College of the Philippines. Through the process of random sampling and quota sampling, 100
students were selected to participate in the study. The primary instrument used for gathering
data was s survey questionnaire that is validated by two Registered Psychometrician and one
Registered Guidance Counselor.

Through the process of the paper, it was discovered, based on the analysis, that most of the
grade 12 students were procrastinating, and its frequency has an effect on their academic
achievement. In addition, it was discovered that procrastination does not work for everyone.

Based on the findings, the researchers recommend students not practice procrastination all
the time. As per teachers and the institution, promote activities and seminars that will tackle
procrastination so that students will be aware if they procrastinate.
