Abstract

Nowadays, Gas leakage detectors are commonly used in industry to prevent gas leaks. This
design makes use of a highly efficient gas sensor (MQ-6) along with a UNO Arduino Board,
making it quick and affordable while also assisting in environmental control by allowing air into
the environment to lower the concentration of the leaked gas. It will help the consumer feel
safe when using LPG, even if they leave it unattended, to lessen/prevent fire incidents and
explosions due to unsafe handling of LPG. To increase the uniqueness of this project, the
researchers used a solenoid valve as an actuator, and by adding a Solar panel and an
Exhaust fan, the Exhaust fan released the gas outside to prevent it from concentrating,
making it explosive and also inhaling gas can cause natural gas poisoning too, and adding
Solar panel for Back up in case Power shortage occur in the area.


The microcontroller, such as Arduino Uno, was compatible with the components utilized. It
carries out the manual speech, sensor detection, and prototype activities successfully. The
majority of respondents, according to the data, are women from 26-36 years old. The highest
number of respondents, 79%, received the greatest percentage of responses regarding
educational attainment. The survey evaluation demonstrates that the intended audience
agrees with the suggested prototype because the weighted mean of all variables is greater
than three according to the rating on the Likert scale.


This study shows that this project will lessen the increasing rate of fire accidents and
explosions due to Undetected Gas leaks. It will benefit Filipino households by lessening the
danger that gas leaks can cause. Additionally, the researchers demonstrate that the Arduino
Uno is a reliable control system for developing and executing the hardware and software of
the Development Gas Leakage Detector Using Arduino and Sensor Device With SMS
Notification and Backup System.
