The Reserve Officers Training Corps ROTC is a component of the National Service Training
Program (NSTP). It is designed to provide military training to Citizen soldiers to motivate, train,
organize, and mobilize them for national defense preparedness. This research aims to
implement mandatory ROTC among selected criminology students to train them in discipline
and self-defense methods. It is designed to teach and impress the meaning and importance of
discipline in the minds of young senior high school students. The Reserve Officer Training
Corps ROTC program has been facing issues such as improper management and physical
violence. This study has solutions to organize and implement properly, and President Sara
Duterte wants to sharpen Filipino youth to have organized discipline and implementation to
have a good outcome, motivation, and help during disasters. Through this program, self-
discipline will be better, and people will have knowledge and awareness during disasters.
This chapter presents the statistical data related to the profile and perception of the
respondent and the listed problem on the statement of the problem. This part of the study
discusses the corresponding analysis, presentation, and interpretation of the data result. The
researcher discusses the overall result based on the perception of the general academic
senior high school students. The majority of the General Academic Strand senior high school
respondents agree that implementation of ROTC could help them with their self-enhancement
and improvement.
The researcher recommended that school administration consider giving enough effort to
provide sufficient knowledge or programs to better understand the benefit of mandatory
reserve officer training corps.
