Abstract

This study focuses on the leadership and sales performance of Imaginary Line Advertising
Corporation.


The study revealed that leadership in terms of performance, motivation, communication,
welfare of subordinates, and rewards are “moderately performed” with an overall mean of
3.17, and sales performance in terms of monitoring sales, selling style and strategies, sales
structures; sales team performance; and forecasting method of were “fairly directed” with an
overall mean of 3.20. However, the most common issue reported by respondents is conflict
over monitoring monthly forecasts regarding sales performance and barely receiving rewards
under the leadership style. Furthermore, there is no significant relationship between
leadership and sales performance. Poor leadership will have an impact on sales performance.


Thus, the study recommends that management should provide a sufficient and effective
leadership style, such as motivating employees by rewarding or acknowledging their efforts,
communicating with the sales team, and providing training to improve their skills and
productivity, which will lead to the improvement of the company's sales performance.
