Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to identify the factors affecting employee retention at the
National Housing Authority on Elliptical Road, Diliman, Quezon City. In this study, job
satisfaction, employee promotion, performance, career opportunity, recognition, and rewards
are the factors that affect employee retention.

The result of this study identifies that the factors affecting employee retention in terms of
performance are "effective" and in terms of employee promotion, they are "least effective".
The problems encountered by the employees of NHA in their work environment were lack of
recognition, poor communication, lack of accountability, and employee promotion, which
might affect the employees’ long-term goals.

This study recommended all employees keep up good performance in order to work for the
National Housing Authority for a longer period of time. To work in a good setting where they
can be creatively free and get the job done on time, keep the lines of communication open
with their coworkers. Continue to implement an evaluation to review employee performance,
and managers should give feedback on how they can be more efficient, work smarter, and
perform better. The company could implement motivational factors for the employee, such
as recognition programs, incentives, or rewards. Conduct training to improve employees'
communication skills and improve the policies and guidelines for their accountability to
sustain the quality operation of the management. To assist employees in improving and
retaining, implement the supported employee development plan based on the assessment of
the factors affecting employee retention in terms of employee promotion, employee
recognition, and uncomfortable work environment.
