Abstract

E-commerce is the buying and selling of goods and services over the Internet. E-commerce
can also be a way of transmitting funds or data. It can operate in several market segments,
including business-to-business, business-to-consumer, customer-to-customer, and
customer-to-business. This study came up with an evaluation of e-commerce operations of
food and clothing business owners in Novaliches, Quezon City. It aims to know the
challenges faced by the customers and how food and clothing businesses assess the level
of effectiveness of E-commerce operations in terms of sales, production, and customer
satisfaction.

The findings of this study revealed that the platform used by the majority of respondents for
their SME e-commerce operations is Grab Food for the food business and Shopee for the
clothing industry. In addition, most of their income was in the range of 20,000-30,000. The e-
commerce operation is "Strongly Effective" in terms of Sales, Production, and Customer
Satisfaction. Most of the challenges encountered in the food business were Bogus Buyers,
while the Clothing Business was PriceCompetition. The results are statistically not
significant. Therefore, the decision is to accept the null hypothesis. There is no significant
difference between the two groups of respondents.
