Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of employee relationship management
on the employee retention of a selected fast food industry in Quezon City. This thesis
explores the factors that can significantly impact employee retention in an organization and
gives a solution on how to resolve this problem. It attempts to relate some of the factors
discovered to major theories such as Herzberg’s (two-factor) theory.

The respondents assess the impact of employee relationship management based on the
total weighted mean of the factors or variables workplace, work-life balance, teamwork, and
leadership management. The respondent evaluates how employee relationship
management affects employee retention based on the total weighted mean of the variables
in terms of compensation, training and opportunities, health and wellness, and recognition.
There is no significant relationship between employee relationship management and
employee retention in selected fast-food industries.

Employees are a company's greatest asset. The longer a worker works, the more
experienced an employee is and the more valuable they are to the organization. Other
factors contributing to high turnover rates include job and employee mismatches and failure
to meet the employees’ expectations. Thus, it is important for management teams to realize
that turnover is not caused by a single event but rather by a string of processes in the
organization.
