Abstract

The business of milk tea products expanded across the globe and now reached the Philippines. As businesses grew, various flavors of milk tea have been produced, but they are similar in taste. Milk tea has been a part of the Filipinos’ lives nowadays. The milk tea industry in the Philippines has become in demand due to a great desire of Filipinos to drink something fresh and affordable in handy containers. This study determined how customers will accept milk tea products infused with minimal alcohol content (ethanol). This study utilized a survey questionnaire of the research sample with 100 customers of milk tea as respondents. This study regarded the perceptions of customers about the milk tea that has minimal alcoholic content (ethanol). Customers have been familiar with many kinds of regular milk teas of different brands and flavors, but they have not seen milk tea products with alcohol (ethanol) that is why the researchers add a twist to the regular milk tea by using a variety of alcohols. Based on the gathered information using the survey questionnaire, the customers would like to taste milk tea with alcohol; a total of 87% of surveyed respondents want to try the product. The expected answers had positive feedback because the surveyed customers agreed on and have a high percentage of being purchased. The researchers added a twist on the milk tea products in terms of ingredients and their health benefits to drinkers by adding a variety of alcohol that perfectly suits customers that do and do not drink alcohol. This result showed that the researchers have a positive outcome, with a 27% in terms of the return of investment in introducing the product to the prospective customers. This study can help milk tea customers learn about the positive and negative effects of drinking alcohol. This study also provided information about the perception of the customers if they are agreed about the proposed product, which is milk tea with alcohol. This study also determined the preferred milk tea flavor regarding customer perception. This study showed that not only the owners will benefit from the products but also the customers of milk tea.
