Abstract

The research focused on the benefits of using biodegradable and nonbiodegradable trashcans inside the campus, especially to Grade 12 Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM) Strandstudents of Bestlink College of the Philippines. A qualitative method was used in this study by using the descriptive research design. The participants were 50 selected grade 12 ABM Strandstudents. This study had four variables, such as what are the benefits of biodegradable and nonbiodegradable trashcans? What are the effects of using biodegradable and nonbiodegradable trashcans? Why do we need to segregate biodegradable and non-biodegradable wastes? How do we maintain the effectiveness of the segregation of biodegradable and non-biodegradable wastes to become organized? The researchers prepared a suggested recommendation that is needed to segregate. The researchers recommended grade 12 ABM Strandstudents to properly segregate waste to lessen the garbage by using biodegradable and nonbiodegradable trashcans. The results of this study revealed that the benefits of using biodegradable and nonbiodegradable trashcans can help our environment, students, and everyone in the school. The study also showed that students gained the most benefits and also became responsible for its surrounding.
